Ambulance service changes for Southern Shore

The Department of Health and Community Services wishes to inform residents of the communities of Aquaforte, Fermeuse, Renews, Port Kirwan, Kingman�s and Cappahayden of important changes to their emergency health services.

Effective December 1, 2004, Lawlor�s Ambulance Service will no longer provide ambulance services to these communities. There will be no disruption in service for residents as Clowe�s Ambulance Service of Ferryland will assume responsibilities for emergency health services in the area on December 1, 2004.

Residents requiring an ambulance on or after December 1, 2004 should contact Clowe�s Ambulance Service through the new emergency number � 432-2408.

The Southern Shore will now be serviced through Ryan�s of Trepassey and Clowe�s of Ferryland. With this change, Clowe�s Ambulance Service will now extend from Witless Bay to the Cappahayden area.
