Consultants appointed for school redevelopment projects

Works, Services and Transportation Minister Jim Walsh announced today government has appointed consultants for two school redevelopment projects.

Government appointed BAE Newplan Group to prepare detailed design work in preparation for converting Mobile Central High, Mobile, to a Grade 7 - Level III facility.

Government also plans to construct an extension and carry out renovations as required to convert St. Bernard�s Primary, Witless Bay, to a Kindergarten - Grade 6 facility. Government has selected Contemporary Architecture and Design Inc. to carry out design work for this project.

"The consultants will start immediately on design work for these projects," said Minister Walsh. "When the designs have been finalized, we will proceed with a tender call for construction."
