The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

NLBA/Sea-Hawks High School Basketball tournament

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association has announced the 16 teams that will participate in a single elimination high school tournament at Mile One Stadium October 10-12. While not all games will be played at Mile One, Saturday will showcase all eight winning teams from Friday�s games, which will be played at several venues in the St. John�s/ Mt. Pearl area. Sunday will once again feature the championship games at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. while consolation rounds will be played in the morning sessions.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 8 at 9:00 a.m. at Mile One box office. A day pass for Saturday (4 games) and Sunday (4 games) can be purchased for $5.00 each while the lone game Friday will cost fans $2.00. Games will run from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday while one game will be played Friday commencing at 3:30 p.m.

The teams below, listed in order of ranking, were selected on availability, last year�s Hall of Fame Championship and Pepsi Juvenile Championships. Also included in the selection criteria were the rankings submitted by all coaches who applied to enter the event.
