Spaniards Bay resident charged for trafficking in big game

Conservation officers with the Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods have laid 127 charges against a 48-year-old Spaniards Bay man for trafficking in big game. The individual is alleged to have sold antlers on e-Bay.

The charges were laid as a result of a 10-month investigation in 2002 carried out by conservation officers at the departments Paddys Pond office, in conjunction with the Legislation and Compliance Division in Corner Brook. The investigation also involved assistance from United States law enforcement authorities.

The man is due to appear in provincial court at Harbour Grace on October 20.
