Road improvement projects announced for Lewisporte area Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, today announced the district of Lewisporte will receive $430,000 for road improvement projects. "Government recognizes the need for improvements to provincial highways and we reiterated our commitment in the provincial budget," said Barrett. "I�m pleased to be able to announce today funding to resurface a section of the Laurenceton Road which will greatly improve driving conditions for motorists." Specific projects include upgrading and repaving a section of Laurenceton Road and replacing two arch culverts on Route 331 and 331-10 in the Horwood area.
