NLIS 5 December 3, 2001 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) Minister announces opening of the Orma South Caribou Zone in Labrador Kevin Aylward, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and minister responsible for wildlife, announced today that effective immediately, the Orma South Caribou Management Zone in Labrador will be opened to caribou hunting. The minister has received information that George River Caribou have recently entered the zone. "The staff of my department will continue to monitor the movement of the George River Caribou Herd and additional areas may open pending movements of George River animals, " said Minister Aylward.
