NOTE TO EDITORS: Reception for Newfoundland and Labrador's Canada Games team, July 17, Torbay.

Kevin Aylward, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will host a reception in honour of Team Newfoundland and Labrador as they will participate at the upcoming 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario from August 11 to 25. At the event, Minister Aylward will announce the athlete who will carry the province's flag at the opening ceremonies. All athletes, coaches, managers, parents and mission staff of Team Newfoundland and Labrador have been invited to attend the reception which is being held at 6:00 p.m. on July 17 at the Provincial Training Centre in Torbay. All media are also invited to attend.
