The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Roger Grimes, will officially launch the Receiving the World Celebrations at 11:00 a.m., tomorrow (Tuesday, May 8) at the Battery Hotel, Main Restaurant, Signal Hill Road.

Full details of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador�s province-wide, year-long celebrations to honour Marconi�s 1901 epoch achievement will be released at the event. A 40- voice children�s choir / fiddle group will perform for an expected audience of up to 300. A light lunch will be served to all attending following the ceremony. The event will be lit for television and mixed audio feeds will be provided.
