Minister announces opening dates for visitor information services

Kevin Aylward, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, announced the opening dates for the province�s visitor information centres.

"These centres are the headquarters for the distribution of information for both residents who are traveling our province and tourists who are visiting," said Minister Aylward. "As a government we make every attempt to ensure a vacation in Newfoundland and Labrador is as enjoyable and memorable as possible to encourage people to return to the province. Our visitor information centres are part of this process. In advance, I thank the people working in these centres for helping in what will be another successful tourism season."

Minister Aylward also wanted to let the public know that the ad campaign both provincially and internationally for 2001 tourism season is in full swing and he looks forward to another very successful tourism period.
