Minister pleased new collective agreement reached at E.C. Boone Limited 

Labour Minister Anna Thistle is pleased to announce that a new three-year collective agreement has been reached between E.C. Boone Limited of St. John's and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 1984.

This new agreement, which is effective June 1, 2001 and expires on May 31, 2004, was reached with the assistance of Wayne Fowler, a mediator from the Department of Labour.

"I wish to congratulate E.C. Boone Limited and International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 1984, on reaching this agreement," said Minister Thistle. "This is the kind of co-operative relationship that leads to an effective and positive labour relations environment in our province's workplaces."
