The following is being distributed at the request of the Petroleum Products Pricing Commission:

The Petroleum Products Pricing Commission advises that the regulation of pricing in two zones affecting coastal Labrador, Zone 11 Coastal Labrador South and Zone 14 - Coastal Labrador North will be delayed until November 15. The reason for the delay is that petroleum supplies for these two zones will not be in place for the coming winter until early November.

The commissioner also advises that the regulated prices for these two zones will be effective for the period November 15, 2001 to June 15, 2002, or until supplies can be replenished. Residents of the two zones are advised that this provides a strong level of stability for the coming months. This situation provides a fixed price for the sustained winter period for the coastal communities of Labrador.
