NOTE TO EDITORS: Agreement in Principle on land claims to be signed, June 25, Nain, Labrador

Representatives of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Government of Canada and the Labrador Inuit Association will gather in Nain, Labrador on Monday, June 25 to sign an historic Agreement-in-Principle on land claims. Representing the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will be Roger Grimes, Premier; Ernest McLean, Minister of Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs; and Tom Lush, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs. Robert Nault, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, will represent the Government of Canada, while Labrador Inuit Association president William Barbour and board members will sign on behalf of the Labrador Inuit.
