Environmental Assessment Bulletin

Environment Minister Ralph Wiseman has announced the following events relative to the Environmental Assessment Act. In the case of documents received or approved, copies may be obtained by contacting the regional office of the Department of Environment or by calling toll-free 1-800-563-6181. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

South Branch (Codroy River) Vegetable Farm and Access Road
Proponent: Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods

The proponent plans to construct a three kilometre agricultural access road primarily for the development of approximately 200 hectares of river basin adjacent to the Codroy River for the purpose of vegetable farming. The access road will exit the TCH approximately 0.5 km north of South Branch bridge. The undertaking was registered on February 26, 2001; public comments are due on April 4, 2001; and the minister's decision is due on April 12, 2001.
