NOTE TO EDITORS:

Charles Furey, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will hold a news conference to officially announce the provincial government�s strategy on Protecting Our Natural Heritage today (October 26) at St. Matthews Elementary School gymnasium, Cowan Avenue, St. John�s. Minister Furey will be joined by Lloyd Matthews, acting Minister of Education, Ms. Laura Jackson of the Protected Areas Association, Dr. Luise Hermuntz of WERAC and Beth Forsey, a grade six student from St. Matthews Elementary School.

The media are invited to attend the news conference at 1:30 p.m.
