Islendingur Farewell planned

The Islendingur will arrive in Port de Grave, its final port of call, on Sunday, August 20 at 12:00 noon. Premier Brian Tobin will be on hand to greet the Islendingur as it arrives in Port de Grave. A grand ceremony is planned for the departure of the ship and its crew from Newfoundland and Labrador waters beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21 at the harbour front in Port de Grave.

Attending the departure ceremony will be Premier Brian Tobin, Sturla B��avarsson, Iceland�s Minister of Communications, Charles Furey, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and John Efford, MHA - Port de Grave.

A media centre will be set up in the Harbour Master�s Building which overlooks the site. Media are asked to contact Tara Laing prior to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18 for accreditation.
