NOTE TO EDITORS:

On August 17, the Parks and Natural Areas Division of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation will be officially naming the Interpretation Centre Building at the Cape St. Mary�s Ecological Reserve as the Dr. Leslie M. Tulk Centre in recognition of the internationally significant research and accomplishments of this noted Newfoundland scientist to both the seabird communities of Newfoundland and Labrador and the international ornithological community. The ceremony will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the Cape St. Mary�s Ecological Reserve and will include representatives from the federal and provincial governments, area mayors, and several individuals taking part in the Living on the Edge - Birds 2000 conference being held in St. John�s this week.
