Multi-Materials Stewardship Board

The Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) was established as a crown agency of the Department of Environment and Labour in support of government�s objectives for the development, implementation and management of new waste diversion strategies. The Board is comprised of representatives of industry, government and stakeholders that work with government to identify, develop and promote new strategies for waste diversion and management.

Some of the waste diversion programs managed by the MMSB are the Beverage Recycling Program, the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program (HHW) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Waste Management Trust Fund. These three programs provide environmentally friendly ways to recycle, dispose of and/or manage consumer waste.
