Market Highlights:
-
Retail gasoline prices increased throughout a number of communities in the
province in response to increased wholesale prices over the past few weeks. The

price had not experienced a previous price increase of 3.4 cents per litre on
February 29, 2000. Conception Bay South continues to have the least expensive
price of 80.5 cpl, although two stations in that region reported prices of 83.9
cpl.
-
From February 29, 2000 to March 14, 2000 refinery wholesale prices, as
measured by the Montreal refinery rack price, increased by 5.1 cpl to 39.5 cpl.
-
Crude oil prices increased from $30.43 U.S per barrel to $31.69 U.S per
barrel over the current survey period.
