Two new judges appointed to the Provincial Court

Justice Minister and Attorney General Kelvin Parsons is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Gorman, Q.C. and William English, Q.C., to the Provincial Court bench. Their appointments are effective immediately.

Wayne Gorman who has been appointed to the Corner Brook judicial centre, is currently the provincial director of public prosecutions with the Department of Justice in St. John�s. He graduated from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1982, and was called to the Newfoundland Bar in 1983.

William English who has been appointed to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay judicial centre, is currently an area director with the province�s Legal Aid Commission in St. John�s. He graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1976, and was called to the Newfoundland Bar that same year. He is also a member of the State Bar of Washington D.C. and the State Bar of California.
