Government pleased with agreement

President of Treasury Board Anna Thistle said she is pleased that government and NAPE have agreed on the mediation process and the terms of reference set out earlier today by government.

"NAPE has assured us that lab and x-ray workers will now return to their jobs, and the mediation process will commence immediately thereafter," said Anna Thistle. "We are pleased that the delivery of health services can begin to return to normal, and the people of the province can receive the medical services they have the right to expect."

With regards to the mediation process, the minister said that government will not prejudge the outcome, or comment on it until the process is complete.
