The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association is accepting applications for the positions of 2001 Canada Summer Games head coach and team manager. These are volunteer positions and the successful applicants will work with the Canada Games Track and Field Team.

REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Head Coach

- Fully certified level 3 track and field coach
- Experience travelling with teams at national level competitions
- Meet NLAA Head Coach Qualifications/Criteria

Manager

- Demonstrated organizational, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in group and meeting environment
- Experience travelling with teams
- Knowledge of track and field
-       Prior experience at national level competitions would be valuable
- Readily available for meetings with head coach and association executive

The deadline for application is March 1, 1999.
