NOTE TO EDITORS:

Members of the media are advised that the internationally-known Canadian palaeontologist and author, David A.E. Spalding, will be present at the Newfoundland Museum, Sunday, November 21 at 2:30 p.m. to give an illustrated lecture based on his most recent book "Into the Dinosaurs' Graveyard: Canadian Digs and Discoveries".

David Spalding became head curator of natural history at the Provincial Museum of Alberta in 1967. He was responsible for establishing a thriving fossil program, which eventually evolved into the world-famous Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Drumheller, Alberta. He has also worked as a heritage management consultant, and is a well-known folk musician and storyteller.

The lecture will cost $3 for adults, $2.50 for students and seniors, and is free for those under 18.
