NOTE TO EDITORS:
Province to receive painting
Well known French artist Jean Claude Roy will present Charles Furey, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, with a painting of Beaumont Hamel tomorrow (Thursday, August 12) at 2 p.m. at the Emma Butler Gallery, 111 George Street, St. John's. The painting which was completed by Mr. Roy following his visit to Beaumont Hamel in 1998 is a gift to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
