Market Highlights:
- For the survey date of November 2, 1999, retail
gasoline prices had decreased by 1.0 cpl in the St. John's market only. However, by the
release of this "Market Watch" prices had fallen by similar amounts in most
other areas throughout the province.
- Effective November 1, 1999, the Prince Edward
Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved crude oil cost related increases of
about 4.5 cpl (taxes included).
- From October 19, 1999 to November 2, 1999,
refinery wholesale prices, as measured by the Montreal refinery rack price, increased by
0.5 cpl to 26.6 cpl.
- Crude oil prices increased from $22.22 US per
barrel to $22.39 US per barrel over the current survey period.
