Market Highlights:
With the exception of St. Anthony and Labrador City, retail gasoline
prices remained unchanged over the survey period. Throughout Eastern Canada, Halifax
witnessed a 7.0 cpl increase.
From July 27, 1999, to August 10, 1999, refinery wholesale prices, as
measured by the Montreal refinery rack price, had increased by 2.2 cpl.
Crude oil prices continued to increase from $20.38 US per barrel to
$21.30 US per barrel over the survey period.
