Minister pleased controversy resolved

Paul Dicks, minister responsible for Marble Mountain, said today that he is pleased that the recent controversy surrounding the appointment of a general manager at Marble Mountain has been resolved. The minister said he has been advised by the resort's CEO Greg White that the management corporation and Peter Kelly have agreed not to proceed with Mr. Kelly's employment at Marble Mountain.

"I have been assured that the management corporation is in the process of making provisions to ensure a strong management structure is in place to take the resort through the winter ski season and, more specifically, the Canada Winter Games," noted Minister Dicks. "I will be continuing my discussions with officials of Marble over the next several days to ensure the smooth operation of the hill for this winter season and the games."
