NOTE TO EDITORS: Attractions Canada, a well-known national organization designed to promote Canadian tourism at home, will hold a Canada-wide news conference on Wednesday, December 9 to announce the launch of the Attractions Canada Awards Project. The awards spotlight the unique character of Canada's many attractions that are often little-known among Canadians. The awards are scheduled to be handed out in the spring of 1999. In Newfoundland and Labrador the announcement will be made, via satellite from Ottawa, at the Teleconference Centre, Room 10, 3rd Floor, Fort William Building, 1 Factory Lane, St. John's at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 9.
