Ernie McLean, MHA - Lake Melville and Minister Responsible for Labrador, and Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, today announced that a $1,049,000 contract has been awarded to White's Construction Limited of Stephenville Crossing, for Construction Package #2, Foundations, Melville Health Care Centre, Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Work will begin in early August 1997 and is expected to be completed by the end of June 1998.
