Lloyd Matthews, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Roger Grimes, MHA - Exploits are pleased to announce that a contract, No. 12-97 THP, upgrade and pave two sections of R360, Bay d'Espoir Highway (including pulverising existing asphalt) km 36 - km 46 and km 62.5 - km 67.5, total distance 15 kilometres approximately, has been awarded to Penney Paving of St. John's.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Regional Trunk Roads Agreement.

This contract has a value of $2,298,925 and Penney Paving was the lowest of five bidders. This project is to be completed September 30, 1997.
