May 26, 1997 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Softball Canada has released its National Team Camp Roster for the ISF Junior Men's V World Softball Championships to be held at the Caribou Complex in St. John's, NF, from July 20 to July 27. Nineteen athletes from all across Canada including three Newfoundlanders, Scott Pittman, Placentia, Chris Maher, Petty Harbour, and Ryan O'Neill, Goulds, will attend the final selection camp to be held in St. John's from July 11 to July 18. Softball Canada will be adding another six athletes to the National Team Roster. Twenty-five of the best junior softball athletes will compete to represent Canada in the ISF Junior Men's World Championships. Team Canada selection camp "Schedule of Practices" has also been released with teams to play Canada to be announced later.
