NOTE TO EDITORS:
Public consultations on the Budget begin in St. John's tomorrow (February 13) at the Battery Hotel. The consultations will continue on Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17. An extra day (Monday, February 17) was added in St. John's due to the number of requests from individuals and groups wishing to make presentations.
The document Making Choices sets out the state of the province's finances and asks Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to participate in the pre-budget consultation process.
Groups and individuals wishing to make a presentation to the Minister of Finance at the public meetings are asked to make arrangements by telephoning 1-800-563-7442.
People can also provide comments or receive a copy of the document by:
