The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:
Bill Hogan of St. John's, was recently named to the International Aquatic Federation (FINA) list of officials for masters competitions. Hogan, who is Swimming Newfoundland and Labrador's president and National Board representative and a member of the National Officials Committee, is one of only three Canadians accepted by the international organization from over 30 nominations submitted worldwide. Being named to the FINA list for masters competition, means that Hogan is eligible to officiate at any International Level masters competition. Hogan is the first Newfoundland and Labrador official to be named to a FINA list since Lew Hounsell, some 10 years ago.
