Corporate sponsorship to be announced for Cabot Celebrations
On Friday, June 21, Bonavista will be the site of the exciting Countdown to 1997 event.
Fred Mifflin, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will make several announcements/presentations including the announcement of a substantial corporate sponsorship agreement for the Matthew event. New and exciting information will also be released detailing many of the major events taking place in the 1997 celebration year.
Members of the media are invited to attend Countdown to 1997. Transportation to Bonavista can be arranged by contacting Laura Cochrane, Director of Public Relations for the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation.
