Cabot Celebrations Seeking Corporate Sponsorship Agreements
Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation today invited interested businesses to submit corporate sponsorship proposals for any of the several large-, mid-, or small-scale activities planned for the 1997 John Cabot Celebrations.
"A project with this type of international scope and participation, will generate international exposure and awareness for Newfoundland and Labrador," Ms. Kelly said. "What we are offering here are business opportunities for corporate sponsors to partner with us and benefit from that exposure. This partnership initiative is a common income supplement practice for any project of this magnitude and as such will provide an additional source of funding for the Celebrations themselves," Ms. Kelly said.
