Additional Motor Vehicle Services Available at Government Service Centre in Gander The Department of Government Services and Lands is now providing additional motor vehicle registration and driver licensing services at the Government Service Centre, McCurdy Complex, Gander. Sandra Kelly, MHA-Gander, said today that she has been advised by Ernest McLean, Minister of Government Services and Lands, that the Government Service Centre in Gander has been authorized, similar to the banks, to accept renewal applications for motor vehicles. Upon payment, the motorist is given a temporary 30-day permit during which time documentation is processed in the Grand Falls-Windsor Motor Registration Division Office. Validation stickers for the licence plates, along with a new updated vehicle registration permit, are then mailed to the vehicle owner. Due to consolidation of staff at the Government Service Centre in Gander, there has been a substantial increase in the level of service to the public. The Gander office is open for normal business from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and motor vehicle and driver licensing services are offered as follows:
Mr. McLean said it is government's intention to deliver motor vehicle registration and driver licensing services at as many Government Service Centres as possible.
