Public Consultation Meetings Set for Marystown and Clarenville

Paul Dicks, Minister of Finance, confirmed today the dates of the pre-budget public consultation meetings for Marystown and Clarenville. The meetings are part of the process which asks Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to participate for the first time in an open and full manner in helping government make the right choices for its 1996 Budget.

The dates and locations are as follows:

     March 27  Clarenville    Royal Canadian Legion    1 p.m.

Individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation to the Consultation Committee are asked to notify the Department of Finance through the consultation's 1-800 number (1-800-296-3434). The presentations will be scheduled beginning at 1 p.m.
