The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, today announced that Newfoundland and Labrador is the first tourism destination to secure its own content channel on Air Canada’s inflight entertainment system.

The new channel, titled Find Yourself, was launched on January 1 and will be available on Air Canada flights until April 30, 2018. This new promotional platform represents an exciting expansion of the partnership between Air Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism.

Newfoundland and Labrador’s Find Yourself channel, features six five-minute videos with the following titles:

  • Broader Palette
  • Gros Morne
  • Language Lessons
  • Off the Beaten Path
  • Whale Tales
  • Peace & Quiet

Advertisements under the successful Find Yourself campaign have been running annually on Air Canada from January through April for several years and will continue in 2018. Quotes
“Each year, a fully integrated campaign brings the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism brand to life. Pioneering concepts and promotional platforms help to evolve our brand positioning and personality, bringing to life the authentic beauty, real character, and the natural creativity of our province. This new Air Canada inflight promotion is just one component of the 2018 advertising campaign, and is another example of the innovative work of our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism.”‎
Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore
Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation

“Local tourism operators often hear from guests that a Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism ad was part of their inspiration for booking a visit to our province. Just as travellers are inspired to explore a destination, tourism operators are inspired to provide a guest experience that is truly memorable. The tourism industry has been working hard to develop the tourism product in order to deliver on our brand promise to travellers who seek to experience our natural and cultural heritage in an authentic way. The industry looks forward to continuing to welcome visitors to the province in 2018.”
