The Commissioner for Legislative Standards, on request of the Premier, will conduct two separate investigations into the conduct of MHA Joyce and MHA Kirby.

The reviews will be conducted with the highest possible standards, with complete impartiality and independence and with any resources deemed necessary. The reviews will be completed in a timely manner.

As stated previously, no additional comment will be made while the investigations are ongoing. The reports, once completed, will be submitted to the Premier and to the complainants.

The Commissioner for Legislative Standards has the statutory responsibility for ensuring that Members of the House of Assembly uphold the ethical standards outlined in their code of conduct.
