The Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

St. John’s (Sugarloaf Place) Cannabis Production Facility (Reg. 1977)
Atlantic Cultivation Inc.

The proponent proposes to establish and operate an 110,000 square foot licensed cannabis production facility at 42 Sugarloaf Place, St. John’s (White Hills area). The project will include construction of a two-storey, steel frame structure to house the cultivation of cannabis plants on a 3.1 hectare site. The building will include 14 grow rooms as well as processing rooms and office space.

The undertaking was registered on August 2, 2018; the deadline for public comments is September 6, 2018; and the minister’s decision is due by September 16, 2018.
