Media Advisory: Premier Ball to Visit Happy Valley-Goose Bay

The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday, June 25, and Tuesday, June 26, to participate in a number of events and announcements.

Monday, June 25

  • At 10:30 a.m., Premier Ball will participate in a sod-turning ceremony to mark the start of construction of the new Labrador Wellness Centre on Hamilton River Road, across from the Labrador Health Centre.
  • At 11:30 a.m., Premier Ball will be at Kinsmen Park, next to the Labrador Health Centre, to announce funding for public infrastructure.

Tuesday, June 26

  • At 9:00 a.m., Premier Ball will announce investments for skilled training and education at the College of the North Atlantic’s campus, 219 Hamilton River Road.
  • At 10:30 a.m., Premier Ball will speak at the 2018 Expo Labrador Welcome Brunch at the Royal Canadian Legion, 172 Hamilton River Road.

Joining Premier Ball at the events will be the Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Transportation and Works; the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development; Yvonne Jones, MP for Labrador; Randy Edmunds, MHA for Torngat Mountains; the Honourable Perry Trimper, Speaker of the House of Assembly and MHA for Lake Melville; and Graham Letto, MHA for Labrador West.

Managed by the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce, Expo Labrador provides a venue for delegates and exhibitors to network with other industry leaders while learning about recent resource developments in Labrador.
