The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be joined by the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources, and Gudie Hutchings, Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains, in Reidville tomorrow (Thursday, May 10) to make two announcements related to the Newfoundland and Labrador agriculture industry.

Premier Ball and Minister Byrne will tour the site of the province’s first large-scale agricultural land development pilot project, located on Rocky Brook Road, at 11:30 a.m.

Following the tour, Premier Ball, Minister Byrne and MP Hutchings will be at the Reidville Town Hall, 2 Community Square, at 12:00 noon. They will be joined by Merv Wiseman, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture.

Members of the media are asked to meet at the town hall at 11:20 a.m. to be escorted to the land development site.
