The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will announce Newfoundland and Labrador’s involvement in the national initiative Roots of Hope, a community suicide prevention project on Monday, January 22. The event will take place in Grand Bank at the town hall, 56 Main Street, at 11:30 a.m.
Premier Ball will be joined by the Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services; Carol Anne Haley, Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Community Services and MHA for Burin-Grand Bank; Mark Browne, MHA for Placentia West – Bellevue; Louise Bradley, President and CEO of the Mental Health Commission of Canada; David Diamond, President and CEO of Eastern Health; Rex Matthews, Mayor of Grand Bank; and members of the Burin Peninsula Community Coalition for Mental Health and Wellness.
