Work Underway on Mobile School Extension Project

A project to add an extension to Mobile Central High to accommodate additional school capacity is currently underway.

The contract valued at $236,790 for the relocation of water lines and a transformer on the school property has been awarded to Electra Contracting Inc., and is scheduled to be completed by November 30.

A tender for the extension is expected to be issued in early October and construction completed in late fall 2018.

“We’re delighted to see the next phase of this project begin, which will open the door for the construction of an extension. Projects like this one show that our government is committed to making investments in infrastructure that support students in Newfoundland and Labrador.”
Honourable Steve Crocker
