Charges Laid Against Busing Company and Mechanic

A busing company, an Official Inspection Station and an Authorized Inspection Mechanic on the west coast of the island have been charged with a total of six violations of the Official Inspection Station Regulations under the Highway Traffic Act after an investigation was conducted by the Highway Enforcement Branch of Service NL.
 
C-MAC Construction Limited, located in Cormack, has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with prescribed procedures contrary to Section 19.(6)(b) of the regulations.
 
C-MAC Construction Limited, as operator of an Official Inspection Station located in Deer Lake, has been charged with two counts of issuing inspection certificates without proper inspection, contrary to Section 11.(1) of the regulations.
 
An Authorized Inspection Mechanic has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with prescribed procedures contrary to Section 19.(6)(b) of the regulations.
