Funding Announced for Fire Truck in Bunyan’s Cove

The Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, was joined by Neil King, MHA for Bonavista, to announce funding for a new fire truck for the Bunyan’s Cove Fire Department.

The Provincial Government is investing approximately $229,000 for a new tanker truck that has a 1,500 gallon poly water tank and a 1,500 gallon aluminum folding frame portable water tank.

Budget 2017 includes an investment of $1.88 million for the replacement of fire protection vehicles and firefighting equipment program for 2017-18.
