Provincial Government Announces $657,000 in Infrastructure Investments in Trinity Bay North
The Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, was joined by Neil King, MHA for Bonavista, to announce provincial funding of approximately $657,000 for municipal infrastructure in Trinity Bay North. These investments will contribute to ensuring access to high quality infrastructure and services for residents of the community by supporting better, safer roads and helping to protect the environment.
Through the Municipal Capital Works Program, the Provincial Government is investing $365,000 for wastewater upgrades and $292,000 for improvements to eight roads under the community’s 2017 Road Improvement Program, which will include reshaping and re-grading the roads, replacing culverts, and placing new asphalt.
These municipal improvement projects are a part of $9.5 million that was allocated for 28 communities under the 2017 Municipal Capital Works Program.
