Minister Joyce and Minister Byrne Announce New Fire Truck for Corner Brook

Today, the Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, and the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour and MHA for the District of Corner Brook, announced a new fire truck for the City of Corner Brook.

The Provincial Government is pleased to be providing approximately $186,000 for a new four-door pumper truck that pumps 1050 gallons of water per minute and features a 1,000-gallon tank with a Class A foam capacity. The truck is anticipated to be delivered in spring 2018.

Budget 2017 includes an investment of $1.88 million for the replacement of fire protection vehicles and firefighting equipment program for 2017-18.
