Environmental Assessment Bulletin

The Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS REGISTERED:

Glovertown Area Heritage Farm (Reg.1895)
Proponent: Cindy Chaulk

The proponent has submitted a proposal for a 59 hectare farm located adjacent to an access road approximately 15 kilometres west of the Town of Glovertown. The farm will include hatcheries for goslings and ducklings, breeding and rearing cows, pasture land and hay fields for province-wide markets.

The undertaking was registered on May 23, 2017; the deadline for public comments is June 30, 2017; and the minister’s decision is due by July 7, 2017.

Twillingate Microbrewery (Reg. 1894)
Proponent: Twillingate Brewery Limited

The proponent has submitted a proposal to operate a microbrewery and lounge at 119 Main Road in the Town of Twillingate. The microbrewery will produce approximately 635 hectolitres (540 barrels) of beer per year.

The undertaking was registered on May 18, 2017; the deadline for public comments is June 30, 2017; and the minister’s decision is due by July 2, 2017.
