Public Advisory: Adverse Weather Conditions Anticipated

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment, Fire and Emergency Services (FES) is monitoring Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast information on an approaching weather system.

Approximately 10 to 20 millimetres of freezing rain is forecast for Thursday into Friday over a large area of the island portion of the province. This is expected to endure over a 18 to 24 hour period today and into tomorrow.

This weather system could potentially impact public utilities and transportation. Please exercise caution when travelling and listen to local forecasts and take measures to ensure personal safety.
