Eastside Elementary, formerly known as G.C. Rowe Junior High, brings together students from both the former Humber Elementary School and St. Gerard’s Elementary School. The newly renovated school can accommodate more than 600 students, with enrollment for this September at 504.

The school includes a refinished hardwood gymnasium floor and completely redeveloped stage lowered to age appropriate height, upgrades to mechanical ventilation system controls, the public address system and classroom technology, renovated washrooms, new flooring and ceilings, as well as improvements to the exterior including new paving. The total investment in the school was approximately $1.5 million.

The Provincial Government is committed to building an educational community that fosters safe, caring and inclusive learning environments for all children and youth.
